The Graduating Seniors Exhibition is an annual event at the Todd Madigan Gallery that showcases the work of graduates from the Department of Art and Art History at CSUB. This year for the first time, the Bakersfield Museum of Art became the host of this event. It was with much anticipation that in March of 2020 we began finalizing the works and preparing our collaborative efforts with the BMoA. After many postponements we finally saw the exhibition come together in December, under difficult and unusual circumstances. In the end a public exhibition was impossible, and this exhibition was open only to the artists and their families, and then only by appointment. Even so it is an important culminating event for our graduates, their families, and those of us who have watched these student growth as artists over the years.
This exhibition is the result of an unusually long and complex process by students, faculty and curators. The gallery would like to thank the artists in this exhibition for their patience and dedication to this project. We would also like to thank the Bakersfield Museum of Art for their enthusiastic support and for helping to bring this to fruition. We wish that this remarkable collection of works could have been visited and celebrated as in years past, but we present them here, as a record of what was achieved by this exceptional group of students.
